LONDON TOWN HOUSE
LONDON TOWN HOUSE

At this historic London townhouse, Kuster’s blend of contemporary furniture and textiles combines with period architectural features to reflect the mix of old and new that is so key to London’s style and personality. The original ceiling moldings and antique fireplaces were central to the concept. It was vital to not only maintain these heritage details, but bring them into sharp focus and enhance them with sympathetic interior design.

This was achieved by keeping the palette neutral and concentrating on building depth through tone-on-tone texture. Greys and silvers with accents of sepia and bronze create the sense of stepping into the glamour of a black-and-white photograph. The cosmopolitan nature of London is injected through objects from far-flung destinations, such as the handmade pendant lampshades and engraved golden tables from Morocco that frame the sumptuous bed in the master bedroom. Here, artisanal craft and Kuster’s signature ‘metropolitan luxury’ unite to maximum effect.
